Vodafone Healthline Reveals The True Heroes Of Our Community

After a stunning debut for its second season, Vodafone Healthline returned this Sunday, highlighting a familiar face in its program line up. The climax of the second episode was a visit to community doctor and Philanthropist Dr Imoro Azumah, Deputy Chief Physician Assistant of Abuakwa Health Centre. The second episode of this season’s show, in addition to this, not only discussed vital health issues but also addressed health questions and concerns from viewers all over the country.
A returnee on the show, Dr Imoro was featured last season for his exceptional contribution to his community through his selfless dedication to his job and the wellbeing of his patients. During the visit, Dr Imoro expresses his happiness at the immense support the clinic has received which includes a new consulting room from a donor. He was quick to point out that his true motivation comes from making a difference in people’s lives through his position as a doctor.
Having spent over 17years at the Abuakwa Health Centre in Abuakwa, Ashanti Region, the show revealed that Dr Azumah has made his patient’s health and wellness an utmost priority at his practice. This has often meant using his own resources to finance the services and medication of some patients; an act he willingly does.
Dr Imoro Azumah’s story exemplifies how altruism, passion and love for one’s community can make an impactful difference. Vodafone’s Healthline serves to be the gateway in highlighting the exemplary works of doctors in our communities like Dr Imoro Azumah, and their importance to society.
This week’s episode also provides solutions and tips on health with ‘Treatment Room’ and ‘Kids Corner’ being notable additions for information and practical knowledge on health conditions and concerns. The award winning show can be viewed on Sundays and Wednesdays on TV3 from 5.00 – 6.00pm, GTV from 8.30 – 9.30pm, on eTV and Top TV from 8.00 – 9.00pm and repeated on Wednesdays on Metro TV and Crystal TV from 8.30 to 9.30pm.
