The cholera outbreak in the Koforidua declines

Koforidua, March 24, GNA - The cholera outbreak in the Koforidua Municipality is declining as the daily cases reported at the Koforidua Regional Hospital have dropped from an average of over 20 cases per day to five cases.

As at Tuesday, March 22, the hospital recorded 145 cases with one death and 16 are on admission.

The Medical Director of the hospital told the GNA that people had to be careful about their sources of food and water. He said drinking of sachet water was no longer advisable since the hospital had a case where a driver who drank sachet water had an infection within 30 minutes. 24 March 11
