Senior Citizens to enjoy discounts on healthcare

Association of Ghana’s Elders (AGE) has outdoored a Senior Customer Loyalty Network programme for senior citizens across the country to enable them enjoy discounts and promos from partnering organisations.

Speaking at the 1st Annual Stakeholders’ Forum held in Accra, founder of the association, Dr. Esi Ansah indicated that participants with the ‘AGE ID card’ will enjoy discounts on healthcare, recreation, senior customer loyalty and financial advisory services from its partners.

She was, however worried about the fact that institutions only pay ‘lip service’ to the well-being of the aged in the country.

To resolve this, she disclosed that the association will partner other stakeholders to establish a health and fitness facility where senior citizens can improve their health through physical exercises and regular medical checkups.

Dr Esi Ansah expressed delight in the support received from partner organizations inluding banks, telecommunication firms, health institutions, recreational societies as well as individuals.

She also charged other individuals to support the course to bring relief to the aged in society.

Background

Established in December 2013 in Ghana, ‘AGE’ is a unique social enterprise founded with the aim of addressing the concerns of adults who are 60 years and above, advancing and promoting their interests through diverse innovations.

The AGE is an organization which rallies senior citizens as a powerful bloc of stakeholders across multiple platforms on which they can engage productively for the benefit of self, community and nation.

To become a member one has to be 60 years and above. However persons of all ages are encouraged to get involved in many other ways.
