Se Menhyia Herbal Clinic launches new products

Kasoa (C/R), Feb. 4, GNA-Mrs. Ellen Semenhyia Acheampong, Chief Executive of Se Menhyia Herbal Clinic at Kasoa in the Central Region has called on the government to support traditional herbal medicine practitioners to export their products.

She said this would not only earn foreign exchange for the nation but would also promote Ghanaian herbal medicine and the image of the nation. Mrs. Acheampong made the call at the launch of Se Menhyia range of products at Kasoa on Thursday.

The products are Se Menhyia Pressure Syrup, Se Menhyia Heat Mixture, Se Menhyia White Mixture, Se Menhyia Extra Power, Se Menhyia Bitters, Se Menhyia Menstrual Disorder, and Se Menhyia Tonic. Others are Se Menhyia Cough Mixture, Se Menhyia Gonno Capsules, Se Menhyia Stroke Capsules and Se Menhyia Asthma Cure. The rest are Se Menhyia Piles Capsules, Se Menhyia Strongman, Se Menhyia Hernia Cure and Se Menhyia Vagil Cream.

Mrs. Acheampong said the clinic which was established 18 years ago offered treatment for diseases including ulcer and hepatitis 'B' and that about 1,500 people had benefited from the facility. She said the clinic would continue to play a leading role in promoting herbal medicine to meet the medical needs of the people. The Chief Executive said the clinic had won many awards which included 'The Ananse Award' and 'The Candidiasis Award' conferred on the clinic by Ministry of Health.

She advised the public against patronizing drugs from peddlers and quacks whose interest was to make money at the expense of innocent Ghanaians.

Mrs. Acheampong appealed to herbal medicine practitioners to adopt modern preserving methods for their products. 04 Feb.10
