Saint Theresa Hospital in Techiman needs assistance

Most Reverend Dominic Yeboah Nyarko, Bishop of the Techiman Catholic Diocese, has appealed to the management of the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly to support the Saint Theresa’s Catholic Hospital with its needs.

He also urged the Nkoranza Traditional Council to organise citizens both home and abroad to contribute towards the development of the hospital.

Most Rev. Nyarko made the appeal during the celebration of the 21st World Day for the Sick at the hospital.

He said the Catholic Diocese would endeavour to assist improve facilities at the hospital but required the complement of other stakeholders to provide quality health care to the people.

The Diocese is constructing an Out-Patient-Department (OPD) and an administration block for the hospital which serves as a referral centre for more than 20 health facilities from the Nkoranza South Municipal and Nkoranza North District Assemblies.

Mr Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South and former Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive, pledged the commitment of the assembly to collaborate with the management to address some of the problems facing the hospital.

Nana Okofo Agyapong III, Adontenhene of Nkoranza Traditional Area, said the hospital was an asset to the people saying the traditional council would play its expected role to provide quality health care to the people.
