Royal Bank screens over 400 residents of Ashiaman

The Royal Bank has organised a free health screening for residents of Ashiaman as part of its fifth-anniversary celebrations.

The exercise, which screened Malaria parasites, HIV, hypertension, blood grouping, Prostrate cancer, sugar levels among others was to help residents know their health status.

Madam Mavis Frempong, Head of Marketing, Research and Corporate Affairs, told the Ghana News Agency that the bank was seeking to screen over 400 community members.

She said the Bank is of the view that a healthy mind resides in healthy body and the exercise was the bank’s way of giving back to society.

She said as part of the anniversary, various activities have been line-up, including donations to the Pantang hospital and dinner for the bank’s top clients.

“There will be an SME workshop on the topic: Time with the SME,” she added.
Dr Felix Boadu-Baah, the Doctor in Charge of the screening, said the medical team would advise patients, who have problems with their diet coupled with general advice on their health.

The Bank in 2014, through the vision and instrumentality of the Founder, Alhaji Dr Adamu Iddrisu, established the TRB Foundation, now Alhaji Dr Adamu Iddrisu Foundation, to provide relief in the area of Water and Sanitation, Health, Education, Culture and Sports to deprived communities.

Since its establishment, the Foundation has provided over 120 boreholes to 115 communities across the country under its flagship “water for life” project.

The fifth-anniversary celebrations will be climaxed with a thanksgiving service for the entire management and staff of the Royal Bank at the forecourt of its head office.
