Nyaho Medical Centre has opened its first satellite clinic at the Octagon Building in the Central Business District of Accra.

The satellite clinic now makes it possible for people living and working within Accra Central to continue to enjoy the same world class health service at their main station in the Airport Residential area.

Managing Director of the Nyaho Medical Centre, Dr. Elikem Tamaklo believes the opening of their Octagon branch forms part of the hospital’s larger goals in bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of people.

“Nyaho Medical Centre’s vision is to be Africa’s most trusted name in Healthcare. Our next step is to move closer to our patients and we realized that our patients were actually spread out in different areas so we didn’t have to rely on them just coming to us but we need to move to them and then also we needed to make sure that the experience that they had will not be compromised but they would have the same experience as the main center and even better,” he noted.

Explaining further in an interview with GN Media, Dr. Elikem Tamaklo said the Medical Centre has made huge investment in technology and completely digitalized its operations making it possible to access information and records including digital photos, at any of their facilities.

“We also have a Picture Archiving Communication System that enables the doctors to pick up x-rays and CT scans like normal digital photos and that can also be viewed remotely so you can get an x-ray in one place and get the report in another. Because it’s all electronic it means that there’s one patient folder and it means whether patients go to one site or the other, our doctors have the same access to the same information,” he revealed.

Nyaho Medical Centre at the Octagon will run a day clinic from 7am - 7pm on weekdays, while the main Centre at Airport Residential Area remains open 24x7 holidays and weekends inclusive.

The facility is fully equipped with Doctors and Specialists consultation, Diagnostic (ECG, ultrasound scans etc.) and Laboratory services, Dispensary, Emergency care and detention amenities as well as an Ambulance to transport patients with conditions requiring escalated care.

Corporate clients will have value-added services such as free WiFi to cater to their business needs.
