Residents of Nangroma are appealing to government to open a health facility built for the community to enable them have easy access to medical care.

The aggrieved residents have to carry pregnant women in labour across a river to the nearest operating hospital since the one in their community is under lock and key.

A video going round on social media shows a pregnant woman being carried to the other side of the river after a motorbike has been carried across to transport her to the hospital.

A man is heard in the background narrating the ordeal residents have to go through to access medical care.

“See how we are suffering here. Are we not part of Ghana? This woman is in labour and they have to take her across the river to another village to give birth when we have a hospital here we can use if it’s opened for us,” he narrates.

He and other residents are appealing to all social media users to keep sharing the video until it gets to President Akufo-Addo as he believes that will give them the needed result.
