Glimpse of Hope (GOH), a United States-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has organized a free vision screening exercise for staff and students of the Kintampo Senior High School at Kintampo.

The exercise which attracted a total of 139 students and some members of staff of the school, was conducted and supervised by Mr Kwame Amanfoh, Ophthalmic Medical Personnel (OMP) from the US.

Mr Kwabena T Ekuban, President of GOH, told the Ghana News Agency in a telephone interview that the NGO was established 11 years ago to promote the health needs of people, especially those in rural communities.

Mr Ekuban commended organizations and individuals, especially those abroad partnering GOH, to help improve the health conditions of rural dwellers.

He gave the assurance that GOH would continue to sponsor similar programmes in Ghana.

Mr Amanfoh, who is also the President and Founder of Victory Vision Care, another US-based NGO, advised Ghanaians to go for periodic eye tests and examination, to detect refractive errors, and other eye defections.
