Accra, July 12, GNA - The authorities of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Wednesday suspended new admission cases to the Children's Emergency Unit for the next 48 hours.
A release issued and signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr Mustapha Salifu, said the suspension was to allow the unit to decongest. "For the past few days, the unit has been full beyond its capacity such that it has become impossible to admit new patients", the release said.
The hospital has therefore, called on people who required paediatric medical services to call at other health facilities in Accra.
