Nine-year-old Solomon, who should have been in school completing his first academic term, has instead spent weeks in and out of the Children’s Block Daycare Unit at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, battling a severe and debilitating eye infection that threatens both his sight and his life.

Solomon’s situation came to public attention through social media advocacy led by blogger Clinton Yeboah and his team.

Following the appeal, the Kevin Okyere Foundation responded swiftly, committing GH¢40,000 to cover the full cost of Solomon’s impending surgery and post-operative care.

The donation was formally made on Thursday, November 11, 2025, through Solomon’s parents to the Lifeline for Childhood Cancer Foundation, which is supporting his treatment at Korle-Bu.

This timely intervention has brought renewed hope to Solomon’s family, easing the financial burden of his medical care and significantly improving his chances of a successful recovery.
