The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Senior Staff Association (KOSSA) has commended the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Dr Yakubu Seidu Adam, and the hospital’s new Board, expressing readiness to support the new leadership to steer the affairs of the teaching hospital into a new era.

In a press release issued on May 12, 2025, KOSSA described the leadership transition as timely, coming at a moment when bold vision and collaborative effort are critical to addressing the challenges facing the institution.

The association pledged its support to the new administration and urged all staff to rally behind the leadership to drive transformative change.

“This leadership transition arrives at a critical juncture in the hospital's history, a time that demands bold vision, collaborative effort, and renewed commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery, research, and training,” the statement read.

KOSSA emphasised that staff welfare must be placed at the center of the hospital’s reform agenda.

According to the association, the well-being, motivation, and professional development of the hospital’s workforce are essential pillars of sustainable institutional progress.

“We believe that through transparent engagement and shared purpose, the hospital can overcome longstanding challenges and chart a transformative path forward,” said KOSSA President Jatoe Dong.

The association also called on the new leadership to exercise responsible stewardship over the hospital’s financial and material resources, stressing the importance of accountability, efficiency, and sustainability in operations.
