Christians urged to forgive one another

Akim Hemang (E/R), March 16, GNA - Christians have been advised to learn to forgive one another for Ghanaians to continue enjoying the peace in the country.

The President of the Eastern Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), Pastor Kwabena Twum, gave the advice at the end of a 15-day Crusade of the Osino District of the Church at Akim Hemang. The Crusade was attended by congregation of the Church from the Mumuadu area including Osino, Juaso, Samang, Nsutam, Nsuapemso, Dwenase, Abompe, Hemang, Dome and Gyampomani.

It was on the theme "Win Eastern Region for Christ". Pastor Twum called on Christians to change their attitude towards one another and to foster love in their communities. He appealed to the youth to do away with tendencies that retarded progress but rather engage in ventures that promoted the development of their communities.

The District Secretary of the Church, Mr Daniel Amoako Dwomoh, said the Osino District of the SDA was assisting the Nsuapemso branch to construct a Manse for their Pastor at the cost of 100.5 million cedis under a three-year programme. Mr Dwomoh said the project was being financed through fund-raising activities and the contribution of 100,000 cedis a man and 50,000 cedis a woman.

He said members of the Church would offer communal labour to reduce cost.
