Health Fitness Walk Competition held

Accra, Aug 25. GNA - A Health Fitness Walk Competition was held on Saturday as part of the 2007 International Health Fit Fair in Accra. The Fitness Walk covered a distance of 10 kilometres, starting from pavilion A through to the EL-Walk Sport Stadium and Back to the Pavilion.

In all, 23 participant to took part in the walk of which two were females. The fitness walk organised by 2A Multimedia was to encourage people to partake in regular exercising of the body and to keep them fit to fight against diseases. The winner of the competition, Mr Adjei Rexfrod of GEODAN Fitness Centre took away GH=A2 100 (1,000,000 cedis) whiles the second prize of GH=A2 80 (800,000 Cedis) went to Mr. Denny Annan, of N,T Power House. The third prize of GH=A2 50 (500,000 cedis) to Mr Prince Nii Aryi Tetteh, a 15-year-old boy.

Two females from GEODAN Fitness Centre, Agnes Opoku, 25 years and Matilda Addo, 55 also took part in the walk. A prize of GH=A2 500 (5 million Cedis) was presented to the fitness centre that emerged first, GH=A2 300 (3 million cedis) to the second fitness centre and GH=A2 100 (one million cedis) to the third. 25 Aug. 2007
