Charles Taylor to play in CAF Finals

Khaleej Agree To Taylor Return

Officials of Asante Kotoko say they have signed a memorandum of understanding between with Qatari club Al Khaleej that will ensure Charles Taylor returns seven clear days before the first leg of the Hearts-Kotoko Confederations Cup game.

Taylor left Kotoko?s camping base in Gomoa, on Tuesday, to catch a flight to Qatar where he would undergo his medicals with his new club.

Taylor is in Qatar to seal a transfer deal that is already the subject of a legal tussle between Kotoko and Taylor?s former club Hearts of Oak.

Meanwhile, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play premier league side, Power FC, in the first of three preparatory matches lined up for the team this month.

The porcupine warriors, now based in Gomoa Fetteh - the training facility of premier side, Feyernood Academy, will play Liberty Professionals at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday and then take on the Benin national team on Wednesday December 29.

Today (Wednesday) friendly tie with Power FC will be played at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
