Central Region Health Administration honours staff

Cape Coast, Aug. 28, GNA - The Acting Central Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Samuel Kwashie, has appealed to health personnel in the region to be selfless and dedicated in the discharge of their duties because those who work hard would be recognized and rewarded. He said apart from being rewarded materially, God would also reward such workers with all the good things in life. Dr. Kwashie said this at a farewell ceremony for five retired personnel and two others on transfer. The retirees are Mrs. Bertha Boakye-Agyemang, former Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Ms. Mary Araba Fosu, former Senior Nursing Officer, Mr. Benjamin Abodza, Regional Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Robert Paintsil, Regional Supplier and Mr. Joseph Mensah, a Former Chief Driver.

The two on transfer are Dr. McDamien Dedzo, former Acting Regional Director of Health Services who is now the Volta Regional Director and Mrs. Cecilia Nsowah, Regional Procurement Officer who has been transferred to the Western Region. They were all presented with unspecified cash awards and other gifts.

Dr. Kwashie praised them for their dedication to duty and said his working and personal relationship with each of them showed how dedicated and hard working they were and urged those still in service to be motivated and spurred on by their example. Mrs. Boakye-Agyemang thanked the health administration for recognizing their services and appealed to those in service to treat their clients with dignity and respect and also consider their work as being done for God.
