As part of interventions to support children’s health and welfare, the Christian Worship Center (CWC) Ministry has gifted the child health center of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital with assorted medical items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis.

The donation, spearheaded by the Christian Worship Centre Foundation (CWCF), a child health and education support wing of the church, with support from the pastors and leaders of the church, offered digital and infant baby scales devices, aneroid sphygmomanometers, baby diapers, packs of toilet paper, bars of soap, boxes of water, sacks of detergent and an undisclosed amount of money to the center.

"The foundation which was established a few years ago is committed to charitable causes that extend to reaching out and meeting the needs of children across the country. We are here to spend time and present a token of our resources to support the children," said Vice President of the foundation, Mr. Eric Adjei Laryea.

The host pastor of CWC – Teshie Assembly, Reverend William Quaye on behalf of the general overseer of the church applauded the nurses for their selfless service in ensuring the wellbeing of the children. He reiterated that the foundation was poised in putting smiles on the faces of children to restore hope in them.

Mrs Constant Manu, Principal Nursing Officer of the children’s unit, receiving the donation on behalf of the department, expressed her gratitude to the foundation for its gesture to the children's ward.

Members of the delegation included the president of the foundation, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, Pastors Edmund Ankrah, Kwesi Obeng and Albert Armaah, a member of the foundation.
