Asumda Foundation donates to Bolgatanga Hospital

Bolgatanga, Oct. 08, GNA - The Ghana and Europe branches of the Asumda Foundation on Thursday jointly donated a number of items to the female ward of the Bolgatanga Central Hospital.

The items include 100 bed sheets, 100 pillow cases and a wheel chair.

Mr. Eric Asumda, member of the Ghana branch of the Foundation presented the items to the Bolgatanga Central Hospital Administrator, Mr. Kaba Edward, who received them on behalf of the Medical Director of the hospital.

Mr. Asumda explained that the Foundation was established after the death in 2002, of the late Ayeebo Asumda who was appointed the first Upper Regional Commissioner in 1956, to assist needy and brilliant students, help reduce poverty in the local communities and also support the needs of the health sector.

Receiving the donation, Mr Kaba Edward expressed gratitude to the Foundation for the kind gesture and promised that the items would go to those really in need.

He appealed to other NGOs to assist the hospital, since the government alone cannot shoulder its responsibilities.
