Ashaiman Polyclinic records three on Christmas Day.

Ashaiman, Dec. 25, GNA-The Ashaiman Polyclinic recorded three births= , two boys and a girl, on Christmas day, as against one normal delivery last year. Miss Love Sedor, a midwife at the Polyclinic who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Ashaiman on Sunday said one of the boys was born at exactly 1:40am and the other at 2:20am.

Miss Sedor said the girl was delivered at 3:40am, adding that all th= e births were through normal delivery.

At the Tema Polyclinic, Miss Patience Fummey, Principal Midwifery Officer, told the GNA that on Christmas Day, both this year and last year, the Polyclinic recorded zero delivery on Christmas day. Miss Fummey used the occasion to commend her team of staff for being hardworking and very committed to their profession. At the Tema General Hospital, the midwifery officers on duty at the Maternity Block said a number of deliveries were recorded on Christmas Day, but declined to release the figures to the GNA as that was not her duty. 2
