Ashaiman Polyclinic records three births on Christmas day

Ashaiman, Dec. 25, GNA - The Ashaiman Polyclinic recorded three births, two boys and a girl, on Christmas day, as against one delivery last year.

Miss Love Sedor, a midwife at the Polyclinic, told the GNA that one of the boys was born at 0140 hours and the other at 0220 hours. Miss Sedor said the girl was delivered at 0340 hours. At the Tema Polyclinic, Miss Patience Fummey, Principal Midwifery Officer, told the GNA that on Christmas Day both this year and last year, the Polyclinic recorded zero delivery on Christmas day. Miss Fummey commended her staff for being hardworking and very committed to their profession.

At the Tema General Hospital, the midwifery officers on duty at the Maternity Block said some deliveries were recorded on Christmas Day but declined to release the figures to the GNA. They referred the GNA to the main Hospital Administration for any information.
