Adopt healthy lifestyle practices for good life - Advocate

Anaji (W/R), Feb 1, GNA - Mr. William Adusei, the Western Regional Coordinator for the Behaviour Change Support (BCS) project, has appealed to Ghanaians to adopt behaviour patterns that promoted good and healthy lifestyle.

He advocated clean environment, eating of good and balanced food, drinking of alcohol in moderation, exercising, resting and taken in lots of water among other healthy living practices. The BCS project, funded by the USAID, aims at strengthening and improving behaviour change on specific health interventions as well as infrastructure and capacity using communication as a tool in effecting the necessary changes.

Mr Adusei, speaking at a day's workshop for media practitioners in t= he Western Region, called on the media to also shift focus on politics and rather promote health issues.

The workshop under the theme: 93Media draws strategic lines for 91Go= od Life' Promotion" was organized under the auspices of the Johns Hopkins University Centre for Communication Programmes under its four-year health component being implemented in the Greater Accra, Central and Western regions. The projects in partnership with the Ghana Health Service would help in achieving the Millennium Development Goals through sustained and coheren= t behaviour change.
