Accra Gye Nyame Club joins Measles Vaccination Campaign

The Accra Gye Nyame Lions Club, on Wednesday took its turn in Amasaman to embark on National Mass Measles Rubella Campaign, which saw children from nine months old to fourteen years vaccinated against Measles and Rubella.
The Campaign is part of part of activities aimed at ensuring that the club is able to serve the needs of the community particularly on the area of child health. It was under the theme “One shot, one life”.
Speaking to the media after the exercise, President of the Accra Gye Nyame Lions Club, Lion Godwin Agianab urged all parents to ensure that their wards against this childhood killer disease. He said families have lost dear ones to this disease and therefore emphasized the need for parents to make sure their wards are vaccinated against the disease.
He said, the Accra Gye Nyame Lions Club although very young will continue to pull its resources to make communities get better through a number of initiatives the club will be embarking upon.
Lion Godwin Agianab expressed gratitude to the Ghana Coalitions of NGOs on Health, the Ghana Health Service as well as the Lions International for partnering them undertakes the project.
He used the occasion to call on individuals who wish to join the club to do so in order to help make our communities a better place.
