AGT Microfinance organizes free medical screening

Mr Adams Asafotei, Chief Executive Officer of AGT Microfinance Company Limited, has advised Ghanaians to always go for frequent medical screening to detect diseases since the early detection of diseases was less expensive to treat.

He also reminded them of the dangers of self medication, saying that it may have negative effects on their health.

Mr Asafotei made the call when the company organized a free medical screening in the communities of all the 14 branches of the company.

Speaking at La in Accra, Mr Asafotei said the free medical screening formed part of activities marking the Fifth Anniversary celebrations of the company.

He said the health of the communities in which the company operated was paramount and that the free medical screening was a way of offering health care to residents in those communities.

Mr Asafotei said the company had put on the Ghanaian markets many products, including AGT Micro Loan which gives capital loans for micro enterprises that need funding to support their businesses, AGT SME Loans which gives a working capital for small and medium size enterprises that need funding to support their business operation.

He said the company aimed to provide integrated banking and financial service solution in the underprivileged poor and the non-banked in our target societies through the provision of micro credit and the inculcation of savings habits into Ghanaians.

Mr Asafotei said the company’s vision was to become the largest micro finance bank in West Africa for the provision of innovative financial and non-financial products and services to the non-banked by 2025.

The residents expressed their joy over the gesture by the company, and expressed the hope that it would continue to make positive impacts on the lives of the people, especially the needy
