The ideals at the root of the UP/UGCC/matemeho/Dumbo struggle and eventual overthrow of the CPP and Nkrumah never included the rights to employment but life, liberty and pursuit of happiness; no nation proscribes a right to work no not in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany or any developed industrialized nation.
We can quibble about whose fault it is till nightfall but you know just like I know that the basic requirement for development is investment in a national infrastructure starting with energy/electricity which we have ignored since 1966. Our natural crablike existence or habitat has not allowed us to have the ideas and ideals Nkrumah had neither have we triumphed over tribal preferences and prejudices. In Ghana being a businessman or woman means selling finished products from foreign nations; it has never been about manufacturing products using home grown material and supplies. And if per chance a wise government was to put restrictions on non essential imports all the war mongers in the NPP and NDC will be ready to mask their war face and incite agitation throughout the nation. We do not want development and or meaningful sustainable employment that pay employees to support families. We desire and fantasize about being the rich guy or gal on the block/community who has all the wealth and is the envy and or toast of the town with every woman throwing themselves at. This is Ghana, live it and enjoy what we have care of the matemeho/dumbo/Busia-Danquah gift.
Some may say this is not what the Busia-Danquah want but that argument falls flat if they sought the overthrow of a "dictator/tyrant" Nkrumah but had no plan in place for the day after then who gave us what we live now? Do people not blame the USA and UK for conditions on the ground in Iraq and other Middle East countries? You own it if you break it and the NPP owns what we have, good or bad, in Ghana and no one else.
You are a genius .God bless
