What gets me more angry on this clandestine effort by this Akufo-Addo and his minions to form a private Militia with S.African Mercenary trainers is the pure hypocrisy involved. He and his clique had rightly criticized the former NDC National Organizer, Yaw Boateng Gyan, for attempting a similar project. Then, they had the audacity to secretly do the very same thing they had vehemently opposed.
More, I remember how Akufo-Addo and his antecedent leaders of the UP/NLM Opposition to Nkrumah cited the formation of Presidential Guards with Soviet Advisers by the late President as one of the reasons that justified our first Coup to depose Nkrumah. Yet, one could easily find much more authentic reasons for Nkrumah to have surrounded himself with such a protective unit. The Opposition had infiltrated our Security Agencies to contract some of them to assassinate him. So, why would many in such a state of dire threat to their lives not resort to such extra precautionary measure to protect themselves?
Yet, most folks in Ghana believed in that crappy denunciation by the Opposition against the Presidential Guards, especially when the unit was linked to an ostensible neglect of our Military by Nkrumah.
How more hypocritical could Akufo-Addo be in this case? And yet, we hear his puppets like John Boadu blow hot air to defend him, and denigrate our Security Agencies for taking the necessary action to keep his action in check.
This goes beyond Partisanship. It has more to do with our National Security and jeopardizing the environment in which our Elections may be held in.

After all, some folks were apprehended for the kidnapping and murder of the Judges to stand trial and eventually executed for the crime. Whether others were involved that got away with it is another matter.
If you would link the NDC with the evils of the PNDC, then be ready to accept the evils of the UP/NLM Opposition in our First Republic whose myriad of violence and murder remains unmatched because that Opposition is a similar antecedent to the NPP.
