Let us not deceive ourselves. Ghana is not immune from terrorist attacks!
Anyone reading and analyzing the news will fear that certain clandestine preparations are going on.
Once again, attention is being drawn that very recently a truck-load of one million bullets (not grains of garri nor rice and beans to feed the people) was allegedly intercepted at the Lome border. Bullets could be deployed to cause havoc, to kill, to destroy, to curtail Ghana's apparent peace and tranquility.
That was not the only issue. A cache of weapons including AK 47s and pump-action rifles, arms and ammunition was supposed to have been discovered at a suburb of Kumasi.
A recent article on this website hinted that the Northern Region, the Ashanti Region and the Greater Accra Region were heavily armed and fortified in private weapons holdings.
While the Government and the sector organizations are very busy syphoning and misappropriating state money into personal and private pockets, something sinister is clandestinely building in the 'dumsor' darkness.
The recent threat by the Andani and the Abudu family Gates to take the law into their own hands in Dagbon because of the nonchalance of Mahama and his government should be regarded as very ominous of what is in the offing.
Again, Ghana is in an election year. It is very trendy that certain political parties or their candidates are determined to win their election by fair or foul means.
The age-old adage says, "To be forewarned, is to be fore-armed."
Let Ghana be prepared. Let Ghanaians be vigilant. There is something brewing and cooking behind the scenes, even home-grown acts of terrorism!!! Beware!!!

I find both Mr. El-Saeed's article & Alfa-alfa's rejoinder worthless, they fail to tell us why terrorisms are becoming reality throughout the world. If we know why terrorisms are rearing their ugly killing faces, then maybe we can be prepared. Be vigilant.
God did not create terrorism & terrorists.
The conditions that created it was man made, & we have to get rid of those conditions: unfortunately, we don't have a plan worldwide to tackle the conditions in order to defeat terrorism.
Ghana can't do it alone, West Africa can't do it alone, neither can EU, China , Iran, or the US.
Since we are not doing anything to remove the conditions, terrorism will stay with us for a long time, until we cooperate worldwide to defeat it.
Maybe God will help us deal with the terroristic reality that is inching gradually towards us in Ghana.

Djamgbe.you can stick your nonsense where it belongs! When Sir Garnet Woeseley came to Kumasi and killed some of my ancestors the British rewarded him with the grand sum of 24 thousand pound in 1874. My grandfather who was a kid at the time was able to tell us his own experience of it.The aborigines,American Indians etc have all suffered at the hands of the so-called "the west" atrocities. The Arabs did worse to us as "Africans" in terms of slavery. If your befuddled brain cannot accept that then preach your "bullshit" to the IMAMS who are hellbent on preaching violence and hatred.
