Some of us know the history, so no one using very poorly-written useless articles can throw dust into our eyes.
There are times I doubt if Ghana would ever become again a country of progressive people and people of integrity. Reading articles and reactions from individuals makes you want to begin to find where to call home, for the simple fact that almost everyone has lost sight of moral ethics and principles. If a country has all God could have given it and still can find ways not to perform, of perform to about just 5 percent of what is required of it, there's the understanding that something is very wrong.
I have always had several family members in the military and still fo have - even a general right now. None of them came close to get shot for anything. Odartey Wellington didn't show they value worthy of his rank and personality and paid a price. It happens elsewhere and it happened in Ghana. Being bitter for life helps none at all.
Nowhere in this world is there found that ONLY one person could fight corruption alone. When Jerry Rawlings' AFRC came shooting people, it should have been a wake-up call for everyone. WE ALL should have thrown our everything into that fight, help put the old age habit away for good. Instead, we did everything to derail the objectivity inherent in the fight the military put up, from the inside and the outside of Ghana, and when the military regime morphed into democracy, those against JJR in his government turned everything into their proper farmyard, thereby reversing the order and objectives laid down.
If the writer of this article is still uncomfortable with what transpired in Ghana during the revolution, JJR is there, he could do whatever he want to him... case closed.

Odartey Wellington (May he Rest in Peace) has sones who fled Ghana perhaps at the right time, but did Ghana remain the same? They could have come back if they wanted to redeem their father's name, or interested in politics.
Riding a horse back to campaign is very innovative and that is where Rawlings beats most of you. He knows what to do to draw attract people and crowds-just try to beat his ways and stop complaining. It is blatantly obvious that Mr John Osuteye is emotionally charged consequently the article contains a few 'factual' errors on history and the Wellington Family too. I would resist the temptation to attempt any straightening of facts as those who care and have the sense to understand the writer's motivation are presumably capable of understanding Mr Osuteye's purpose.
In asmuch as the loss of our brother Odartey,the pain, the disappointment and the anguise could never be washed away not even with the lapse of time, one personally does not feel the need to refer to discredited enthnocentric approach to revamp emotions between Osu indigenes. One would refer you to one of Odartey Welllington's brothers, Prof. Nii Adziri Wellington's book on the history of people of Osu which clearly states the historical connections between the Ewes and the people of Osu-Alata. Secondly one does not have to have any direct connection with any constituency to be elected as an MP. Rawlings himself qualifies as an indigene of Osu as the man speaks more Ga than Ewe. Let's concerntrate and focus more on how we can develop Osu and leave it better than we found it for the next generation.
