Definitely positive and inspiring.
But a few more attributes would be in order.
Motivation and Passion also matter.
In fact, motivation has a major impact on all information processing in the brain. And this is not just a psychological phenomenon; actual brain chemicals are involved. As a nursing student, I'm sure you've heard of the brain's REWARD CENTER AND CIRCUITRY.
So, motivation drives most, if not all, of our brain-directed actions.
Take four individuals, A, B, C, and D.
They all want to build a solar-powered fishing boat.
Person-A is motivated by fame. He wants to be known all over Ghana as the best inventor of all time.
Person-B is driven by the desire to impress Miss Ghana and increase his chances of getting a date.
Person-C is energized by enormous passion. He/She is passionate about gadgets, state-of-the-art contraptions, and all things innovative.
Person-D is motivated by the need to be employed by a big American boat manufacturing company.
All these four individuals are highly motivated, and that force should lead them to the facts, skills, knowledge, and resources that would lead to a successful realization of that dream.
Yet, you would see that the chances for success would be determined by the depth of the motivational force and how intense the passion is.
Now, since you are a nursing student, perhaps I should offer these minor corrections:
1. You wrote:
"...The human brain which consist of nothing more than grey matter..."
Not quite true. The human brain is made up of both grey matter (neuronal cell bodies) AND white matter(axons).
You can liken that to the bulbs that provide light in our homes (grey matter) and the wires and street cables that carry the electric current (white matter). You can have light with the wires all by themselves, and the bulbs would be totally useless without the cables and wires bring electric current to them.
2. Dr. Ben Carson is extremely sharp and ONE of the best neurosurgeons in the world. You need not label him as the "best neurosurgeon in the world". The field of neurosurgery is quite broad and there are MANY great neurosurgeons, with each sub-specialty having its own best neurosurgeon.
Furthermore, all these great neurosurgeons depend on world-renowned neurologists and highly accomplished neuroscientists for their great feats.
Many of the famous people you cited were driven by great PASSION, and almost all scientists are driven by passion AND a lifetime of intense curiosity about nature.
On the whole, your message is quite apt and powerful. The sky would be the limit, if one believed in oneself and the tremendous power of the human brain, fueled by enduring motivation and genuine passion.
