What has your candidate done exceptionally as a politician for you to hold the opinion that his presidency is crucial? What can he do differently as a President if our export commodities are not giving us enough revenue to help solve some of our pressing problems like the "dumsor" we are experiencing today?
Akufo-Addo is at liberty to campaign to be elected the President of Ghana but it would definitely be unconvincing to make us believe or bank our hope in him as the POLITICAL MESSIAH OF GHANA.

I think Musah's script would have been much more received if he had focused on the glaring deterioration in our economy after 6 years of the NDC versus the 8 years of the NPP
The typical examples would come from the fact that the NDC in their 6 years have had access to significantly much more revenues than the NPP, yet the lot of the people has worsened.
In the comparatives below I show NPP vs NDC with NPP numbers being for 8 years while NDC is for 6 years:

Akufo Addo held two exceptional position during those 8 years, and though he did have certain personal views at tangent with Kufuor's exeedingly flawed drift, he Nana Addo too was part of the problem.
I don't know if you ever come across "mediocrity" as word before. If that's what you're trying to sell of NPP, no one will buy.
The question that promptly comes to mind is, WHY CAN'T WE GO FOR EXCELLENCE?

My point is (1) instead of the insults on Ghanaweb, let us look at the available facts supplied by either the NDC government or the Bank of Ghna (as most of our issues are economic) and judge the two sides of the issue
(2) the NDC govt lacks vision and tends to be very reactive and that is why as a voter who had voted NDC in the last 3 elections I would be voting for NPP for the first time in the next elections
(3) in the 6 years that NDC has been in power a lot of the social democratic programs that NPP had put in place that had helped my people in the Volta region have been almost destroyed to the extent that the hospitals have become a death trap.
All this social-program destruction was done when the NDC had received more money from gold, cocoa, loans, oil etc than any other govt and that is why I would list the numbers so that objective would appreciate my point.
I am not sure about the point you are trying to make with the independence issue, every primary school child in Ghana knows that independence was achieved on march 6, 1957
Again i am not sure what you mean by "why cant we go for excellence", but what I do know is that if you look at the government on approximate years since independence it is as follows:
PNDC/NDC gang (19+7) = 26
CPP/Liman (PNP?)(9+2) = 11
PP/NPP gang (2+8) = 10
Military (4+7) = 11
and our screw-up as a nation could be linked to the length of time govts have been in power.
The problems we have as a nation, we all know who "cause am"

To Nana the human resources of a country does not matter the reason why he saw to it that some of the best brains in the country were put into prison. Nana Akuffo Addo has now come out to say that people from regions without natural resources should not hold executive position in Ghana. Nana Akuffo Addo and NPP does not know that even Keta schoolboys is a natural resource, but does not walk from the sea to the market on its own. It needs a fisherman to catch it a fishmonger to but it and send it to the market and the fisherman and fishmonger are human resources of Ghana. We are of the view that if Nana becomes the president of Ghana he will dismiss people from regions without natural resources from both civil and public service as Busia did in 1969. You see why Nana Akuffo Addo is not a good material for any executive office, especially presidency.

It may be necessary that we have a change of Government. But it could be a disaster to have Akufo-Addo as our next President. It would have been better if he had moved out of the way to let Dr. Bawumia contest with Alan and the others. The best Ghana could get out of Akufo-Addo as a President might be seeing him hand over the reins of governance to Dr. Bawumia after the very few months of ascension to power, should Ghanaians even vote NPP to Power in 2016.
Nana has not proven anything significantly to indicate he could be a good President. For all we know, and if folks would be sincere, he has always been a divisive rod among people. He has woefully failed to unite the NPP, and blatantly connived or personally partaken in the promotion of ethnic Politics designed to set one tribe against another in the Country. People cannot forgive his "Yen Akanfo de.." rubbish.
I don't know who made him a National spokesperson for all Akans, anyway. But that dangerous xenophobic utterance still reverberates in most homes in Ghana to alert folks to keep him out of the Flagstaff house.
He has only recently shown some faint signs of conceding his bigoted error. But he has yet to fully apologize to all other Tribes in Ghana.
The longer it takes for him to formally apologize, the less likely he would become the next President of the Country. His arrogance has always been in the way to conceding error and apologizing. However, no one is above reproach, and the example he set is not what Ghana needs at the helm of her affairs.
His supporters do not want to hear this truth about Akufo-Addo, and have used all kinds of insults and intimidation to shield him. But those insidious shameful tactics are what would even sink him deeper.
With the current feud flaring up under his nose without much of any leadership from him to settle the factional friction in the NPP, Akufo-Addo is further showing how incapable he is in bringing people together to serve Ghana best. Sorry, but the truth sometimes hurts.
