I completely disagree with your assessment.
We are not a failed state
Our nation has challenges, and we can overcome them if all of us do what we are supposed to do.

The youth should blame themselves for the present state of GHANA because as soon as Atta Mills was killed they spontaneously burst into groups like Youtth for MAHAMA Boys for MAHAMA ,girls for Mhama etc and went to collect Millions of the Tax Payers monies to ran the most expensive Political Campaign for him to win Power. Then after he had been Sworn In he looked into our faces to tell us bruntly that YAWE NAM NO MA AKA DOMPE. That was the beginning of Mother Ghanas Woes. Yes Flour Billon Dollars for MAHAMA Campaign. In 2016 you have another chance to choose another leader and that person is That Matured Politician Nana Akuffo ADDO.If we miss him GHANA is doomed forever. Thank You.

It is difficult to cure a sickness without diagnosis. WHAT LED TO THE CURRENT SITUATION? Could it be that certain people in the civil service were given jobs it was known they could not do? Are all our tax collectors (individual, institutional) innovative, and even more important, honest? Could it be that this state of affairs was warned about a long time ago but was attributed to jealousness of people not in power? Has there been nurturing and support of local industries. If these and other questions are not answered, will all the tea in China help us? And I am not even talking about the individuals of that country, some of whom seem to think this is their new colony.

David Amoah Boateng, next time acknowledge the source of your quote when writing any article. It is academically prudent to do so. The definition of a 'failed state' is highly sensationalist, debatable and arbitrary. Even I will be hard pressed to tag Somalia as a failed state. Therefore it will be far-fetched and unrealistic to the extreme to say Ghana is a failed state. In my opinion, a failed state is one which doesn't exist. Even I will not label the present NDC government which is facing challenges as a failed government. No failed government is in power!

READ: "...I charge the youth of the country to rise and fight the leaders of this nation. They have taken us for granted for a long time. They steal from us and use the stolen money to school their children abroad Dubai, U.S.A and Europe because they themselves don’t trust the education system of the country they manage..."
OUR COMMENT: Rise up, vote, and hold officials accountable, including those in the academy such as Prof. Amoako Baah who, though part of Ghana education officialdom, nonetheless operates as if he is an outsider with no responsibility.

The truth is that when mills died just before election those at the helm used the opportunity to steal from the nations coffers as much as they wanted to. Coupled with 9 months haitus of the supreme court election case, the electricity situation and mahatma softness everything went abyss. My main worry is that with all these negativity and debt if npp wins what at all can they do? Npp themselves are no angles from past are also very corrupt. The truth is that the ghanain has been a failure.
