The original NPP(Northern Peoples Party was formed in the North by a Chief called S.D.Dombo.In terms of élections S.D.Dombo won more seats in 1954 and 1956 more than Busia in parliament.As for Danquah,he did not do well at all with UGCC in 1951 against Kwame Nkrumah.While Nkrumah was wining 71 seats out of 104,Dombo won 12 and 15 seats.Busia won only 1 seat in 1954 and 12 seats in 1956.Can you see the difference?Later,when all the opposition parties merged into United Party,S.D.Dombo gave Busia the chance to lead the United Party.Busia and Dombo shared one ideology of Federalism but majority of Ghanaians prefere Nkrumah's Unitary form of government.One important event we must remember,the role Danquah,Ofori Atta and Akkufo Addo played in forming the UGCC cannot be underestimated.These 3 personalities are all Akyem royals who joined the Busia's NLM when UGCC disappeared.Busia got some of the dissatisfied members from Nkrumah's party CPP too like Victor Owusu,Joe Appiah and others.Looking at the caliber of politicians who joined Busia shows the kind of power game within the party.I don't think NPP must be offended if anyone says it's Akyem/Asante blocks because it's very true.The time has come for the Npp to reoganize itself and break the old tradition.Thank you.

Your layers couldn't prove bad intent and any effect and you blame the judges, Otumfuor, Afari Gyan, NDC and everybody else? Keep blaming others. Ask yourself how many seats NPP has in parliament and that will inform you to re-strategize,watch your tongue, stop pleasing core supporters of only NPP and reach out with your words and deeds to floating voters. This is exactly what NDC wants you to keep doing and they will slip through once more. We can not pick sense from the insults coming from supposedly refined people.

Unless you intention was to insult then this is the wrong forum for you. Anyway, as a respectable citizen, I would prefer you rather behave in a civil and mature manner than the insults abuse and name calling. All that Boatemaa tried to do was to show off some good english, which I must accept is good but failed to educate some of us on how to be roped in. I'm sorry to say this but it has become evident that Ashantis always blame others for their failures, just like Kotoko who always blame match officials for their failures on the football pitch. Aryiku, as for insults it is a common feature with Ashantis and Kwahus, and not Akyems. Just watch kumawood movies. I feel very bad watching these movies with my kids around. I tried to observe something when I paid a visit to my Ashanti/Kwahu buddies. They saw nothing wrong watching these movies with their kids as insults were flowing from the movie they were watching. Some Kwahus I know don't tolerate that in their homes. I was happy to notice that. Well done.
There has never been any objectivity in Ghanaian politics. We all know that tribalism has gained root.How on earth will Jerry Rawlings accept the Volta region to be his world bank because of power. Nana Akuffo-Adoo made a similar mistake with "yen Akanfuo". JJ got away with his as he was already in the driving seat of power, but Nana Addo's did not work. If he thought that would do the political trick, he was wrong. Did anybody advise him and he didn't listen? Madam Boatemaa, please ask him. This reminds me of Arthur K, who has consistently been pushing for an audit into the failure of the NPP to grab power. I have heard countless times from NPP supporters that Nana Addo is arrogant. He could be the no nonsense type who is being misrepresented. Mind you, I never heard that comment from any Akyem. All were coming from Ashantis, who always think every good thing should belong to them. They are experts in creating alliances only for them to take leadership positions after displaying some treachery. We mostly hear of Danquah-Busia tradition. Dombo is added only when they feel threatened and need Northern votes. If they think Northerners are dumb, they better think again because they (Northerners)know that they are not allowed in front of the Otumfuo, knowing very well that Ashantis see themselves above other Ghanaians.
