The author could have done us a big favor by presenting the numbers from 1990 to 2025 without quoting some specific years and in percentages. How much revenue was made in each year, what taxes were paid, what amount was that, what were the operation costs, the profit for the gold firms, and the dividends paid? These will help every ordinary person to appreciate the write-up.
THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS. The author should note that it is not only politicians who are making the cases. The academia and the professionals in this industry are showing the numbers, SO CHALLENGE THEM;
FAILURE TO DO SO MEANS WHAT THEY ARE SAYING IS THE TRUTH.
