This attitude of goverment's concentrating their efforts just just on rewarding party foot soldiers is damaging the economy via politically tainted policy advice, incompetence, inefficient public service and all the other problems known to arise from the appointment of cronies. Better to put in place policies that grow the economy to provide jobs for all Ghanaians.

Government is about running the nation for the good of all, and not a system where those who might have worked towards the electoral victory of a political party can see themselves as entitled to goodies as if an electoral victory were the same as a a victory by an invading nation where it can rightly be said, "to the victor goes the spoils". The only thing curious about your article is why it was written in the first place. Any person with a mindset that's about the good of the nation will not be crying about not getting a piece of the spoils. I strongly urge President Mahama to reward that relative of yours by appointing him as Ghana's Ambassador to Afghanistan where he can have a mighty good time under the watchful eyes of the Taliban.

This should have been an email to the office of the president. Maybe Mahama was not aware.

The writer has enough sense to know not to send an email of this sort to the Presidency. Only a person with a sense of entitlement will write such an article on behalf of his relative, and even adding some threatening statements about that relative's intent to start a new political party, simply because he feels left behind by the bus carrying Presidential goodies. His relative wasn't the only person who worked hard on behalf of the NDC, many Ghanaians at home and abroad contributed in many ways towards the victory of the NDC, and that contribution was not hinged on receiving some appointments one the party became victorious. That write-up is a disgraceful piece of crap.
