Concern of the writer is sound. Parents too should not relinquish the discipline of their children to teachers. It should be a shared responsibility.
His concern is sound, but has he suggested any sound alternative?
Thank you; he didn't suggest any alternatives, not suspensions (two weeks, two months etc), not revocation of privileges, not demotion to a lower class! I am sure educationists can think up many more deterrent punishments.
Hand them over to the military for a disciplined training.
