The only solution to lack of development in almost any African nation is to promote a genuine democracy by abolishing the practice or political appointments to ensure that all top government officials are elected by vote to win on merits and not be appointed.

Yu can keep changing governments or political parties but the society will never develop any way faster until every citizen is given the chance to lead in top positions based on merit by abolishing political appointments and ensuring that all top positions in government are filled by election and not by appointment due to political affiliations or political support. This will bring competition to create experts in government for quick progress with a GOE (Government of Expertise), instead of creating failure by appointing for loot and share with GOA (Government of Appointments), that deprives good people the equal opportunity to also serve in top positions of government. Political Appointment is the real threat to democracy. They are two opposing practices and you can tell by their descriptions; Democracy allows many people in society to choose one leader, while appointments allows one leader to choose many leaders. That one leader is not Einstein with all the IQ to know the real capabilities of people he chooses or recommended by his team or cabinet. I often read news post by people with questions or opinions similar to this one that I am commenting on and I often post this similar truth by divine my revelation, but none of them choose to push this forward. It tells me that most people only try to get attention or pursue something else by their post, instead of being real. The only answer for fast development in Ghana and any poor nations is to elect all top government officials to choose their running mates or next in commands and create a "Government Of Expertise" (GOE) with expertise, accountability, responsibility to report to the president. If you really care about Ghana, write to Parliament; the The speaker, the MPs and all the influential people in parliament, including all the whips and the committees etc.! plead with with them with a genuine message by asking them to constitutionally help pass laws to abolish the practice of political appointments and ensure that all top government officials are elected by votes based on merits to perform. The voting can be done the various entities. For example, the Judiciary will elect their Chief Justice. The Police will elect their IGP. The health sector will elect their Minister of Health, The all the workers of electoral commission will elect their EC. The soldiers will elect their Defense Minister. People in education field will elect their education minister. The people in the finance sector will elect their Finance Minister. The Business men, traders and business owners will elect their minister for trade and industry. Everybody will register in just one area. So, that every Ghanaian will elect 3 leaders; The President, The MP and One Top government official in their field or area of interest. All the elected leaders will be required to report to the president who will direct them and supervise their by his vision or common goals. That will be a genuine democracy instead of political. It is like most leaders in Ghana and most Africans are copying blindly and failing but cannot learn any sense from these repeated failures, due to their selfish interests that do not solve societal problems. I do not have the Ghanaian citizenship anymore. So, I cannot initiate this ideology in Ghana, plus, I currently do not have interest in politics, though I am gifted with problem-solving and also great ideologies in solving major complex problems. Regular government changes are no impediment to Africa's economic progress. Africa's economic progress is slowed by the rampant corruption in most African countries. Furthermore, far too many African leaders are either vision-less or wickedly corrupt and incompetent. Compounding African countries' economic headaches is the fact that it's not only the political leaders who are corrupt but also far many of their citizens. And the picture gets bleaker as many of Africa's best brains continue to drift outside the continent for greener pastures. The situation will change for the better when African countries begin to have leaders who truly eschew corruption and also have bold and meaningful plans to reshape the economic frame of their countries.
