Peter Sedufia condemns mass demolishing at Old Fadama

Ghanaian filmmaker, Peter Sedufia has expressed his disappointment following the demolition exercise at Old Fadama.

In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, the ‘Keteke’ movie director said the action is making the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic fruitless.

He wrote: “At this point that there’s mass demolishing of people’s homes while we confront COVID 19, we might as well just stop asking people to stay home. Such a wasted fight we’ve all committed our energies to…”

Photos of the dwellers at the Old Fadama slum sleeping in the open have gone viral following the demolition exercise.

Many Ghanaian social media users have equally expressed their dissatisfaction following the incident.

According to them, the timing was wrong as people are required to stay at home as one of the measures to combat the deadly COVID-19.
