The author of the article must have been born in the 80s. I have reason to believe this guy has not lived in the 60s or 70s of Ghana when the words "adjuma!, adjuma!, adjuma! or kwafo!" were on the minds and lips of most Ghanaians. Movies were even made to depict hard working Ghanaians in those years. As a matter of fact, there are 4 different types of Ghanaians today: 1. There are those who believe hardwork pays off at the long run and strive hard to accomplish their dreams.
2. There are others who dislike or fear manual labor and give all kinds of excuses or services to avoid it.
3. There are some who are still ignorant about God due to their earlier childhood indoctrination and conditioning; they believe in super natural powers that can help them acquire wealth hence they go to church, have faith in pastors,fast & pray or seek mallams or alternative demigods to help them.
4. The last group of Ghanaians believe in fraudulent ways of making money or getting ahead; drugs, prostitution or scams called (Sakawa), 419 strategies and "sikadro" etc to get rich quickly.
To put all Ghanaians in the same category is wrong and absurd. When Ghanaians get abroad reality sets in fast; they cannot rely on anyone but themselves to get ahead in life, so they are obligated to work hard. That's why it seems like they work better or harder abroad. On a more important note, Ghanaians will work just as hard in Ghana if they have similar opportunies that they find abroad created for them in Ghana. The next elected President should focus more on giving incentives for job creation in Ghana. I have more ideas to share that can make Ghana the most desirable place to live in the world. By now Ghana should have had a 4- year strategic development plan introduced as a Bill in parliament that states that irrespective of which party wins, the Bill will be followed without digression. A panel of University lecturers and students should draft the Bill to be adopted. M.A.N

And it is the same with all blacks. Just take two nurses working at emergency unit in any hospital; one white and the other black and you will see what I am talking about.

Lived with my parents for about five years without having my own personal job. Thank God, I won DV visa lottery to US. Even though, those who have jobs back home are working hard everyday but they still don't have money. I think, we need more jobs in Ghana for the youths. Even after high school, you should have something to do. We are lucky enough to be in abroad because, most of Ghanaians whom did not graduate from school are still working. Our leaders please, create jobs and keep our people busy. They are not lazy.

The whole truth is that, the heart of man is deceitful above all things and it is desperately wicked. People's reasons for being religious differ for everybody so what you have put up is based on a false assumption.

There is no body on earth who is not religious. After all religions is a system of belief that regulate your whole life. It is your worldview or philosophy by which you interpret or explain your reality. So everyone is religious whether Theist of Atheist we are all religions. The challenge is how you use your faith to improve your life and that of others around you and that of the whole society.

Ghanaians might be religious but not spiritual, hence the corruption and moral decay that are ruining us. We need a spiritual revival for our lives to be transformed, in order to have hope for brighter future.
