Your story doesn't hold water! You were posted to the north for service as a teacher. After completing the service, you could have remained there and continued teaching while looking for "a better" job. But hei, that isn't a place for you, so to Accra you returned.

You could have sought a teaching job at the numerous private schools while looking for that "marketing" job, but you didn't and claimed to be job hunting for 6 years!

Now aside your degree, what other skills did you develop outside the classroom during your days at the university? Communication? Interpersonal? Critical Thinking and reasoning? Probably nothing!

Now during the 6years job hunting, did you attempt to improve your employability by upgrading yourself with a post-graduate or some specialist course?

Now finally you got the job and felt good and was on cloud 9! Did you for once think of whether your employment was through proper channels or through connection and what the security of the job is? You were happy and enjoyed the attention and the lunches and led the man on. So what do you want people to tell you now what to do? It is your cup of tea. It is up to you.

Once I politely reject them, it ends my job search. I can say on authority that in Ghana, men take advantage of ladies before employing them, especially if you don't have contacts or don't fall under the purview of protocol. I stopped searching for jobs and now I go around buying dresses from local seamstreses and taylors sell them in my boutique. And I think I am doing ok. Thanks God for my Akuapem moral values that I didnt give in to the smelly-drenched idiots in suits!
