Releasing convicted criminals from prison based on party affiliation is number one political issue. No country in this world can exist without judicial rule of law. When criminals become untouchable because there's a president who glorifies violence and murder, ready to pardon or remit their sentences, that's a dangerous security threat and a recipe for chaotic society. The president's action shows he has absolutely no respect for the Supreme Court, the very court that gave away the presidency to him against all odds. NPP should vigorously hammer the unintended consequences of this action to every citizen in the country all the time until the elections in December. Let people in the villages know the evil agenda of NDC releasing their party criminals from jail. Use this message at every opportunity you will get until the battle is won in December

What the whole world is hearing is that in Ghana, you can threaten to sodomize and annihilate Supreme Court judges and still get a pat on your shoulders by the president. Your constitutional lawyers interpretations of the constitution is absolutely dependent on the interpretation given by the Supreme Court. What the Supreme Court said about the issue of contempt is what the constitution says, whether you like it or not. No other lawyer's opinion matters. So your president has decided to usurp the powers of the Supreme Court instead of asking for a revision of the decision. We will see what happens the next time an electoral dispute involving NDC ends up with the discredited Supreme Court.

Alleations of corruption did not fly. Accusation of 'incompetence' has fallen on ice. GYEEDA, SADA etc. are still birth, unemployment, suffering, immorality and scandals against government officials fell on rocks and crashed. They cannot run a campaign due to contributions not coming as expected, so what again? This is pathetic indeed!

The montie 3, are Ghanaians and deserve pardon. They pose no danger to anyone, just their empty words led them into this mess. If Ken Agyepong deserves a pardon, these men also deserve it. NPP has no message on development, security, health, education, transport, infrastructure, etc. They just want to come to power even though they have no business going there.

NPP is not worth voting for in 2016.

The President also only exercised the aspect of the Ghanaian constitution which allows him to render mercy to such people. So he acted constitutionally.
he is not the first president to do so and the fact is he would not be the last of the kind to do so.

The NPP by this has only proven to have not case and message for the good people of this country and will lose the upcoming elections.

The tourism sector under the current administration has witnessed significant growth.

Under President Mahama, International tourist arrivals rose from 1,093,000 in 2014 to 1,202,220 in 2015.

Associated revenue increased from US$2,066.5 billion to US$ 2,275.2 billion, respectively. Direct and indirect jobs created by the sector increased from 241,000 to 330,514 during the period.

I think the Asahntis have been unusually circumspect and calm in the face of the subtle and demoralizing discrimination meted to them since Nkrumah's days and worst under this corrupt and incompetent clueless regime of the NDC and the dead goat Mahamafia.

History tells us that Asanteman was not even part of the British Gold Coast colony. A protectorate as it was then was more of a nation state with its institutions of governance. If any sector of then Gold Coast could have survived as an economic nation state, Asanteman should not have been part of this failed state called Ghana.

NDC has contrived with all the small tribes of Ghana to contain the so called Ashanti hegemony and largely succeeded to keep mostly Ashantis out of central government activities.

How long will this stupid and blatant discrimination continue? Until recently with the discovery of oil in the western region; and even historically that part of western region is Asanteland by conquest; almost all the resources for the development of Ghana came from Asanteman.

Look at the cocoa industry and the gold mines and timber. And yet a child with an Ashanti name Agyeman Prempeh, Boakye Yiadom can hardly secure a scholarship from scholarship secretariate. The NDC agenda is ANYBODY BUT ASHANTI (ABA).

it is a fact in Ghana today that a dog can secure a job at interview ahead of an Ashanti. I think it is time Ashantis take a good introspection of the treatment that this unholy conspiracy is wroughting on their development, personally and economically.

The least said about Kwaku Duah Otomfo and the Asanteman Council the better. They have failed to realise the unique brand and huge prospects endowed with Asantemen.

They better wake up soon before they are overwhelmed with an Arab spring agitation in Asanteman that might consume them and their black stools.

Private business and buga buga is in town, and hustling abroad is no more going to ease unemployment levels in Asantemen. It is time Asanteman takes a fair share of the national cake in central govenment employment and projects or sooner than later the cry for secession will be on the lips of the teeming discriminated and marginalised Asanteman youth.

I have written the following paper for discussion before the remission of the Montie 3. Notwithstanding I believe it is relevant today as yesterday.
Politicians are going to destroy this country if we the general population don’t stop to reflect and follow them the way we are doing. How many African countries or better still which African country can be readily identified as doing well compared to what we hear of in other parts of the world? Our forefathers actually brazed the trail; not mediocrity.
Politicians are generally selfish even though they claim they are for the good of their countries. Anything they do for their countries, they have to personally benefit in that process. The several cases of corruption are as a result of this selfishness.
Our politicians have succeeded in dividing this country into two main political blocs, for that matter the truth has been covered and they are riding on the crest of this. By the time they exit the system they have made mountains of wealth which they will go to enjoy with their families. Ghanaians, the time to be wise is now and it is more critical this time than ever before. There are those of us who are not acclaimed politicians who follow them because of our stomachs. Pity! God did not bring us to this world to be the carrier of somebody’s sandals. He made us and endowed us with characters that will cause us to make a difference but because of laziness we prefer to carry sandals. My former MD of a bank in Ghana who later became a Finance Minister in President Kufour’s government once said that he was a self made person which I think was a true statement. I have been impressed with him since the day I joined that bank through to the period as a Finance Minister.
It is imperative for us to know the number of those who have taken politics as their vocation excluding the hangers on. The hangers on are doing what they are doing because of favour. Not too long ago NDC was engaged on membership drive which in my view was done with promises. People registered for the party because of the promises made to them. Their registration was not prompted by personal conviction. What is the paid up membership of the two biggest political parties? They should be honest to respond to this question.
I have been asking myself if theseMontie 3 were not politically connected will the high level of interest being generated by politicians be so? These people have been imprisoned for offenses which everybody agrees they actually committed. Some are even saying the offense they committed were not so serious to attract the period of sentencing. Those saying this should tell all of us what should the sentencing be and provide reasoning for their recommendations to convince us. Some of us are not illiterate literates as I have seen many Ghanaians to be.During my orientation as a first year student at the School of Administration, Dr. Bilson who was then Dean of Students in the Universitysaid that there were three types of students on campus but I will limit myself to the one which interests me. After his lecture, I decided to belong to the type who studied beyond just making good grades. This has really changed me and boosted my confidence because of the volume of knowledge I carry.
Everybody is quoting the Constitution to back his/her claim. Yes, the Constitution is written in English Language so as educated people who have been taught to read and write, we can do that. Every provision in the Constitution as in any law has a reasoning behind it. I have not yet heard those quoting the Constitution give the reasoning underlying those provisions relating to the demand on the President to do something about the imprisonment of the Montie 3. The only person I have heard so far providing some reasoning for Article 72 was Abu Jinapor, an NPP communicator. It is the Spirit of the Constitution which gives birth to the Letter and it is so with every policy or law. Until we have convinced ourselves of the Spirit, we should tone down and use our precious time on better demands confronting this country.
The GUITMO 2 issue is almost dying, the President’s acceptance of Ford Expedition vehicle is also dying. We are now clinging on the Montie 3 which will soon die and we shall all divert to another issue. We don’t resolve any issue in this country so we are not making the required progress as a people. How many years after independence; where are we?
Let me also use this opportunity to call on the President and his government to ensure they use the resources availed to him by the people of Ghana to protect members of the Judiciary especially the Supreme Court Judges. Even though all Ghanaians need utmost security, members of the three arms of Government which have been identified in the Constitution require the same level of security as it is provided to him and members of his Government. The MPs were voted for as he was also voted for. Ghanaians will never be happy with the Executive, to witness similar gruesome murder to judges as it happened in the past. It should not be the case that our Judges are murdered any time the country is managed by the same group of individuals, which is NDC. It is also during their period of administration when a sitting President (late Professor Mills) was also assassinated. We don’t want to refer to them as the political party who facilitate the murders of high profile office holders in Ghana. These murders are usually well hatched and executed which make it difficult to unravel.
