Every person has one great thing they may be good at, obviously he came out good. Not everyone who goes to a big school get all good grades and vice versa. His dad was a Reverend so he should have got all A's, gosh that sounds so stupid. Ahhhh

Most ppl from poor backgrounds are likely to accept and resign themselves to failure, after all they hv not had any better experience.
Imagine that KSM was to struggle to fend for himself, his poor parents and siblings at the village, make career, and raise family.
Anyway congratulations KSM. You hv made.

And most Ghanaian students are lazy, and then blame it on poverty. My brother in law lost both parents at a tender age in the village, went to school in the village, with no lights whiles fending for himself and is now a heading a great pharmaceutical company in London. And I have exes who had it super rough growing up and are now doing so great. In America most students work and go to school, but in Ghana we just got to stay on school and we still complain. I know getting a job back in Ghana is hard, but you just gotta try. We exhibit a lackadaisical attitude towards education, and then we always looking for help help help and we prone to blaming our failures on oh I'm from a poor family, didn't have this or that, heck I'm from a poor family too, my parents didn't go to school also and all their children have turned out great, so enough with the excuses already.

You do love Ghana so much. There are only 5 great schools in your country and the others are pretenders right? Don't repeat this to anyone else, let it end here. Ghanaians are our own enemies that's why we don't improve. My ex boyfriend attended mfantsipim and he is super smart, so I love that school. I can't believe you attended mfantsipim and wrote this sad list, so Wesley girls, saint roses, saint Louis, Yaa asantewa, aburi girls, need I mention more are pretenders as much as they are producing great people in all professions? And even how are they pretenders? Oh Awurade...and that last part is like cursing all other schools in your own country, you don't wish for Ghana to improve in education. We have that tendency to pray nobody gets to our level and that's sad, we should cheer one another on as a people. I feel so proud and happy when I meet successful Ghanaians. We have a long way to go. And oh I had 10 ones, at that time, we were only doing 10 subjects, thought I'd throw that in, and I didn't choose any of those your 5 great schools which are sex biased anyway, you know what I mean, smh

Wealthy family? I don't think in American terms, he would be consisted wealthy and therefore given preferential treatment. Obviously there are exceptions to every rule, but for the most part, equality is effective in America, unlike Ghana where a teacher would favor certain persons in the class based on who their parents are. I hope it has changed, Coz it sucks as a child to see a teacher clearly discriminate based on wealth, smh

You know one can take the GED here in America and get into college? If you don't do well on it, you can still be admitted, but you'll be put on learning support courses for a semester or so.

Errrmmmm not to sound rude, but what you saying is really strange to me. You need high school diploma to get into college here in the states, you know you have to take the SAT or ACT which is equivalent to Ghana ' s SSCE/WACE. Even with LPN, you still need high school when with private universities. And I've never heard of just a yes answer getting a person into nursing school here, it is highly competitive, you need so many prerequisite courses entrance exam, interview. You can't be given English and mathematical questions to solve at home and you are in. Well there are levels so I don't know which one that person did. Unless it's way back on the days, nursing programs currently extremely difficult to get in, I mean we talking about human lives here. Most of the old nurses say they were trained on the job, but is different today. I think Ghana should even raise their bars in regards to attaining admission to higher learning. So people like KSM can keep trying coz on the states is no different, your SAT score determines which college you go to and also if you'd start with learning support classes or not. KSM models must just keep trying and never give up till they get it right. And we have to find a way to smirk laziness from the secondary school students :)
