President John Dramani Mahama paid a visit to the renowned Bob Marley Museum in Kingston during his official trip to Jamaica.

The President toured the museum alongside Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and the country's Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Olivia Grange.

The museum, situated on Old Hope Road in St. Andrew, occupies the former residence of reggae icon Bob Marley.

The property has become one of Jamaica's most significant cultural landmarks, celebrating the life and legacy of the legendary musician, whose messages of freedom, unity and social justice continue to resonate across Africa and beyond.

The visit followed high-level bilateral discussions between President Mahama and Prime Minister Holness, where both leaders explored ways to deepen diplomatic relations and expand economic cooperation between Ghana and Jamaica.

Providing an update on the meeting via social media, Prime Minister Holness emphasised the longstanding historical and cultural relationship shared by the two nations.

"As two nations with shared history and strong cultural connections, we continue to build on our partnership through South-South cooperation, expanding opportunities in trade, investment, and economic development," Holness said.

According to the Jamaican leader, the discussions centred on strengthening collaboration across key sectors while identifying fresh opportunities that could deliver economic growth and mutual benefits for both countries.

He expressed confidence that the renewed commitment would further enhance bilateral ties and create lasting opportunities for the people of Ghana and Jamaica.

Holness also expressed optimism about the future of the relationship.

"I look forward to the continued growth of this important partnership and the lasting benefits it will bring to Jamaica and Ghana," he stated.

President Mahama also immersed himself in Jamaica's rich cultural heritage. During his visit, he spent time with members of the Rastafarian community and drew cheers from onlookers after joining them in playing a traditional drum.
