Several prominent members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) were among the personalities who attended the Old Vandals Association (OVA) Jamboree and Alumni Gathering held at the University of Ghana over the weekend.

Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Clement Apaak, DVLA Chief Executive Julius Neequaye Kotey and the Director of Presidential Initiatives in Agriculture and Agribusiness, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, were spotted at the forecourt of Commonwealth Hall during the event.

The gathering, organised by the Old Vandals Association, took place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Bacchus Gardens after it was rescheduled from its original July date.

The reunion was held under the theme, "From Common Room to Common Good."

Videos circulating on social media captured the officials, together with other alumni and hall members dressed in the signature wine-coloured Vandal-branded Lacoste shirts, enthusiastically singing, clapping and participating in the hall's famous Jama tradition.

The event featured performances by the Ghana Immigration Band, alongside traditional Vandal songs, drumming and mass alumni Jama sessions, as former residents of Commonwealth Hall reunited to celebrate their shared heritage.

The jamboree also coincided with the UG-TEIN Alumni Homecoming 2026, attracting scores of NDC alumni and supporters to the University of Ghana campus.
