Ghanaian reggae artiste Osagyefo has been honoured with a Humanitarian Award for his outstanding commitment to improving the lives of the people of Okurase.

The award was presented during the 20th anniversary celebration of Project Okurase, held in the Eastern Region, where community members and stakeholders gathered to commemorate two decades of the organisation's contributions to education, healthcare and community development.

The anniversary celebration attracted a host of dignitaries, including volunteers from the United States, elders of the Okurase Stool, the District Chief Executive (DCE), and officials from the Eastern Regional Health and Education Directorates. Traditional leaders, residents and invited guests also attended the colourful ceremony.

Organisers said the award was in recognition of Osagyefo's consistent humanitarian efforts and his unwavering support for the people of Okurase over the years. They commended the reggae musician for using his influence and resources to support initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the community.

Receiving the award, Osagyefo expressed appreciation to the organisers for the honour, describing it as a source of encouragement to continue serving humanity.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting community-based initiatives, particularly those that promote education, healthcare and the welfare of vulnerable people.

The 20th anniversary celebration featured cultural performances, goodwill messages and presentations highlighting the achievements of Project Okurase over the past two decades.
