Dancehall superstar Shatta Wale is set to appear at a lecture hall after accepting an invitation to speak at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on music marketing, branding, and the business of entertainment.
According to a news report by GHOneTV, the invitation was extended by UPSA Vice Chancellor Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, who explained that he wants the award-winning musician to share his entrepreneurial journey and the practical knowledge he has accumulated in building one of Ghana’s most recognisable music brands.
Professor Mawutor noted that Shatta Wale’s mastery of internet-driven music marketing and personal branding makes him an ideal voice for students interested in the creative economy.
"I want Shatta Wale to come and address UPSA students. I'd love for him to share his business knowledge and how he learned to make music using the internet," the Vice Chancellor said.
Shatta Wale wasted no time in accepting the offer, in a post on his Facebook handle on July 7, 2026, expressed his gratitude, stating that he would be on campus in September.
"Thank you, Vice Chancellor. I will be there," he responded.
