Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan has described the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a disorderly party with a "vacillating inconsistent leadership".

According to Kwamena Duncan, everything the NDC is involved with ends up in shambles.

The National Democratic Congress on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 boycotted the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting with the Electoral Commission on the compilation of a new voters' register.

Prior to the NDC's abstinence from the meeting, the party had accused the EC of planning to rig the elections for the governing New Patriotic Party and added that the Commission's decision to use only the Ghana card and passport as the legal requirements for the registration exercise is a ploy to disenfranchise 11 million Ghanaian electorates.

The party has also filed a suit against the EC in the Supreme Court praying for an order to direct the EC to include "all existing voter identification cards duly issued by the 2nd Defendant (EC) as one of the documents serving as proof of identification for registration as a voter for the purposes of public elections".

It is also seeking a "declaration that, upon a true and proper interpretation of the provisions of the Constitution, particularly article 42, upon the registration of and issuance of a voter identification card to a person, that person has an accrued right to vote which cannot be divested in an arbitrary and capricious manner".

Making his submissions on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kwamena Duncan noted that NDC's opposition to the EC shows the party is in a confused state and made up of unserious people.

He urged Ghanaians not to repose any confidence in the NDC saying they have nothing better to offer the nation.

"It's a political party that the leadership is in disarray. Their Presidential candidate struggling to find a partner, again five or six months to general elections; you don't hear alternatives nor manifesto. In fact, everything is in disorder and that is what has attended their character anytime they're in government," he stated.
