Give me a decisive win to avoid another petition – Mahama to NDC

President John Mahama has called on supporters of the NDC to shun complacency and give him a resounding victory in next month’s polls.

He said a decisive win will scatter any attempt by the opposition NPP to contest the results in court.

Addressing supporters of the NDC at Tepa in the Ashanti region, where he is currently campaigning, the President said there is clear indication that he is cruising to a second term victory in December.

“This time around, I am pleading with you. I know by the grace of God we are winning. Let us not be complacent and think that because we are winning, that is it. But this time, I want the victory to be resounding so that what happened in 2012 wouldn’t repeat itself,” he said.

Meanwhile, the chief of Anweaso in the Adansi Asokwa constituency of the Ashanti region, Nana Kwankye Safo II has declared Mr. Mahama will win the impending polls.

According to the chief, the National Democratic Congress candidate “John Mahama will never take NDC to opposition.”

“As for me, I’m assuring and promising him (Mahama), Nananom please listen to the language I’m speaking. It’s a vehicle in motion that we join, and not a stationary one with flat tyres. So I join his (Mahama) car”
