UK McDonald employee makes Ghana proud

A Ghanaian Mark Adjei-Kumi who joined McDonald Franchisee Railto Bury -Salford in Manchester barely six months ago has made history by winning the prestigious Best of The Best Quarter Employee Award. He beat his fiercest competitor with just one vote to emerge the winner.

Over 1,600 franchise staffs from Calisle, North Wales, Lake District, Thornby, Blackpool, Salford and Radcliffe hope to receive such recognition every quarter.

Mr Adjei-Kumi who was full of appreciation said the Award presents a greater challenge of hardwork and excellence adding it will spur him on to explore more of himself in service delivery.

The Ghanaian Award winner who resides in Manchester also delivers life skills training in high schools as part of McDonald’s cooperate social responsibility in Trafford and Salford. He is currently undertaking customer practitioner Level 2 course with Roisin Jones an astute HR Recruitment Manager as his mentor.

He expressed gratitude to the Business Owner of Railto Mr Mark Nutall for the opportunity and as well to Kerry Cameron for the nomination. Mr Ajei-Kumi said his immediate manager Mianna Taylor together with staffs have been very supportive and encouraging.

The Best of The Best Award event which took place at the Martin Brown Bakery – Oldham Suppliers of McDonald Confectionaries saw the Director of Franchising North West UK Mr Ash Raju and other senior management members in attendance.

McDonald has more than 1,270 restaurants in the UK with over 120,000 workers. It was first opened in the United Kingdom in October 1974 at Woolich London.

The company is known for its staples of great tasting food from high quality ingredients coupled with amazing customer service.
