ROSA USA renovates classroom block for St. Rose’s SHS

St. Rose’s North America Inc. has successfully completed the renovation of a two-story classroom block at St Rose’s Senior Secondary School in Akwatia, Eastern Region.
The total cost of the project is 9,050 USD.
This is the first of a three-phase project to renovate all classroom buildings including the renovation of a science laboratory for the school.
The current infrastructure at the school has deteriorated due to overcrowding of students as well as minimal resources to maintain the existing structures. This project is being funded through contributions by members of the organization and donors.
St. Rose's North America Inc. is a US-based non-profit organization started by a group of alumni of St. Rose’s Senior Secondary School in Ghana, now living across the US and Canada.
The mission of St. Rose’s North America Inc. is to uphold the legacy of St. Rose’s Senior Secondary School and provide a serene, safe environment promote creativity, innovation, and education for all students at St. Rose’s Senior Secondary School.
The organization seeks to foster the growth of a new generation of female leaders who will transform their school, community, and the world at large.
The task at hand is daunting and as part of our efforts to complete all phases of the project, St Roses North America Inc. has launched a fundraising campaign. St Roses North America Inc. held a fundraising dinner dance at the Holiday Inn Express in Springfield VA on July 22nd, 2017 and successfully raised close to 10,000 USD.
In addition, the group has launched a GoFundMe campaign at https://www.gofundme.com/Rosanorthamericacampaign and an envelope drive to raise $40,000 towards the project. We are calling on St Roses Senior High School alumni and the general public to kindly give to our cause.
St. Rose’s Senior Secondary School is an all-girls high school established by Dominican Sisters from Germany in November 1965, in the small town of Akwatia in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Over the years, the school has produced many female professionals who have contributed to the school, their local communities. and the world at large.
