Chief advises Ghanaians abroad

Amasaman (G/A), Jan. 13, GNA - Nii Gyasi Ashong, chief of Abenease in the Ga District has called on Ghanaians abroad to visit home regularly to contribute to the on-going developmental project and other self-help projects in their communities and towns.

Nii Ashong made the call when he addressed tenants and developers at a meeting at Abenease near Amasaman to discuss plans for developmental projects like the provision of electricity, schools and clinics in the area.

He entreated the people to initiate projects to attract government's support and appealed to those staying outside the country to come home regularly to assist, since government alone could shoulder everything.

Nii Ashong urged land developers to refrain from engaging the activities of landguards in the area since that would scare away potential investors

He urged the chiefs and people, especially the youth to unite and be more concerned with developmental projects and productive ventures that would enhance their living standards.

Nii Ashong praised the people for their self-help spirit towards the electrification project in the area.
