NPP Ireland salutes newly elected executives

Only a few days gone by, determined men and women, and indeed, Ghanaians from all walks of life symbolically assembled at the birthplace of some of the great pioneers of our Great Party to elect officers who will steer the affairs of the NPP for the next four years and probably, beyond. Armed with nothing, but their only weapon: vision, fortitude and the message of hope, they braved the vagaries of the weather and toil to embarked on a political pilgrimage, not only to show their commitment to the timeless ideals of the Great Party, but more important, to sound a clarion call to the oppressive powers that be, that, after the die has been cast, tomorrow, Moses is going to tell Pharaoh, “Let my people go”. As it is, who needs a canvass painting to be reminded of the socio-economic tribulations and bondage the masses had had to endure under the current incumbent; and who, after the conference in Tamale, had any shred of doubt the NPP is solidly poised, more than ever before, to undo the economic albatross that perpetually hangs on the necks of the suffering people of Ghana.

But thankfully, now that God has spoken through the people in Tamale, NPP Republic of Ireland is, again, more than confident the best is about to unfold; that Ghana, our beloved country is just about to take its rightful place amongst the comity of nations. Buoyed by this writing on the all, we congratulate the newly elected Chairman of NPP, Mr. Paul Afoko and his able team, and equally pledge our unalloyed support to seeing their ultimate mission accomplished. It is our fervent prayer that the good Lord shall grant the entire team, all the spiritual and physical wherewithal for the successful prosecution of the noble, but daunting tasks ahead. To the runners up, we wish them better luck in future. May we also use this platform to extend our sincerest gratitude to our teeming faithful, the delegates, organisers, the electoral team, security forces, outgoing executives, representatives of those from the other side of the political divide, and verily, each and everyone who supported in diverse ways, for a wonderful work done.

To the incoming administration, we respectfully pray they meditate upon these words of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, that, “When you are in a crowd and you stand out from the crowd; it is usually because you are being carried on the shoulders of others”. May it be well with them in all ways. Let it be!

LONG LIVE GHANA, LONG LIVE NPP, AND LONG LIVE OUR FOREBEARS!!!
